Wishing all the family long life. Your memories are a wonderful tribute and the description of your parents relationship reminds me so much of my late parents.
Thank you for sharing your memories of your father. He sounds an amazing person.
I’m sorry for your loss and I know it will take time to come to terms with his death but hearing about your life with him sounds like you were very lucky to have him.
Wishing you long life. May I recommend a book: H Is For Hawk. The film is good, but the book is all about coping with the death of an adored and enigmatic father and really helped me.
What a beautiful piece of writing, Nicole, from your sisters as well as yourself - so glad you have a platform on which to pay tribute to your dad and his amazing achievements on behalf of so many. Thanks for sharing and I wish all of you long life.
@Nicole, thank you for sharing the eulogies for your dear Dad (z’l) .. you three ladies have made my tear ducts busy, as you share the warm love and fond memories of your family. Outlining your Dad’s (z’l) background, early life, married life his love of his family and seeing the family all together in that lovely photo, shows how fast our lives progress. Time waits for no one.
Wishing you all ‘long life’, and your Dad’s (z’l) memory will always be a blessing ✡️.
I’m so sorry for the extreme loss you are experiencing! Your tribute is beautiful. He made his life a blessing and I hope your pain will lesson and the memory of him becomes a blessing.
We never really die as long as we live on in someone's memories.
My grandfather who died in 1959 is still alive in me. He should have died on the Somme sometime between 1914 - 1918 ... but he was one of the lucky ones that came through it without a single scratch despite being at the Front.
And leave it to babes and innocents to state the simple facts of life, and death ... As my 5 year old grandson Nate stated quite sincerely: ''Grandad, you're old and you'll die soon''
What a beautiful extended family -- your parents were a gorgeous couple and your dad's charisma shines through you and your sister's memories. Thanks for sharing X
