As early as 2002-4, the rot was setting in. I was still a member of Amnesty, writing letters about prisoners of conscience, when the organisation published a particularly skewed report about "bad" Israeli behaviour in Jenin, the West Bank, which was quickly agreed false internationally but Amnesty did not remove their skewed comments. When I objected, I received a reply such that We are Amnesty, we are and, if we say something happened, it happened. I resigned my membership.

Excellent and thorough investigation. An indictment of how human rights have been corrupted. These orgs focus on the low-hanging fruit in western democracies and rarely on the despotic regimes who torture and execute their people.
